The course is accredited by the Safer Recruitment Consortium.  The course has an assessment and action plan as part of the criteria for completion. Delegates will receive all workbooks required for the day & refreshments and lunch will also be provided.  Training will take place at Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham (DH1 1TD)

Please note: If you have already completed the full day training with us previously we do offer a half day refresher session.

Governing bodies and proprietors should ensure that those involved with the recruitment and employment of staff to work with children have received appropriate

safer recruitment training, the substance of which should at a minimum cover the content of this part (Part three) of this guidance.

The School Staffing (England) Regulations 200956 and the Education (Pupil Referral Units) (Application of Enactments) (England) Regulations 200757 require

governing bodies of maintained schools and management committees of pupil referral units (PRUs) to ensure that at least one of the persons who conducts an interview has completed safer recruitment training. KCSIE 2023 Point 208 & 209 Page 52

The Safer Recruitment Consortium is a partnership between four organisations with the safety and wellbeing of children at their heart:

Representatives of these organisations have been working together, in consultation with the DfE, since January 2014 to ensure that schools, FE colleges and other education providers have access to high quality, up to date Safer Recruitment training.
