Prevent for DSLs Training Online 12 December 2024

This is a training session for any new and experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead.  KCSIE states that designated safeguarding leads must access formal PREVENT training and the PREVENT duty guidance 2023 recommends that this should be updated every 2 years.  This is a half day training session specifically for Senior Leaders and Designated Safeguarding Leads which will address the statutory PREVENT Duty and associated responsibilities. It will also equip staff with the right tools to deal with any direct threats of radicalisation or terrorism and understand the role of schools in PREVENT.

This training would be classed as Level 3.

The designated safeguarding lead (and any deputies) should also undertake Prevent awareness training. KCSIE Annex C Page 167
